Teaching & Learning Hub (TL_Hub)

The Teaching & Learning Hub shall function as an institutional-level support and facilitation unit dedicated to strengthening teaching and learning practices across IBA. It will operate under the academic oversight of the Director AQE and will advance effective pedagogy, curriculum delivery and faculty development.

The Hub will address the academic and professional development needs of faculty as identified through student feedback, course reflections, academic leadership consultations, institutional review processes, and faculty performance data. It will implement related initiatives through structured training programs, workshops, consultations, resource development, and collaborations with internal and external experts. Specific functions will include:

  • Support mentorship and capacity-building programs for faculty.
  • Design structured professional development programs, including workshops, training sessions, seminars, certifications, and resource development.
  • Conduct Training Needs Assessments through surveys, feedback, performance data, course reflections, and consultations with faculty and academic leadership.
  • Plan and manage the faculty training calendar, ensuring timely scheduling and effective utilization of resources.
  • Identify and engage national and international experts, trainers, and industry professionals to deliver high-quality sessions.
  • Liaise with external institutions, universities, and professional bodies for collaborative training programs and knowledge exchange.
  • Promote adoption of innovative pedagogies, educational technologies, and research-informed teaching practices.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and impact of faculty development activities using feedback, learning outcomes, and performance data.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, feedback, outcomes, and documentation required for audits, accreditation, and quality assurance.

The TL_Hub will operate as a data-driven faculty development engine, translating findings from IQA, course reflections, student feedback, and program reviews into targeted faculty development plans. This will ensure that training is not ad hoc, but aligned with institutional priorities and measurable outcomes.
