The STUDENT COUNCIL FOR ACADEMIC LEARNING & ENHANCEMENT (SCALE) is established as a formal representative body at IBA, dedicated to actively integrating student perspectives into the university’s quality assurance (QA) and academic enhancement frameworks. This initiative aligns with HEC Pakistan’s Institutional Level QA Guidance, emphasizing the vital role of students as primary stakeholders in maintaining and elevating academic excellence.
- Strategic Engagement: Establish a formal mechanism for student participation in institutional quality assurance processes.
- Feedback Integration: Provide a structured channel for students to offer substantive feedback on academic programs and pedagogical methodologies.
- Collaborative Research: Facilitate joint initiatives between students, faculty, and the QEC to identify and address areas for academic refinement.
- Process Sustainability: Create enduring mechanisms for the ongoing review of teaching, learning, and quality enhancement protocols.
- Composition: SCALE is comprised of 22 elected student representatives (16 Undergraduate, 2 MS, and 2 MBA members) to ensure cross-departmental representation.
- Eligibility: Candidates must be in their 3rd/4th year (UG) or 2nd year+ (Graduate) and maintain a minimum 3.0 CGPA to ensure high-level academic alignment.
- Reconstitution: Nominations are invited annually every Fall semester to ensure fresh perspectives and continuity.
- Operational Mandate: The council convenes a minimum of twice per semester to deliberate on academic quality issues and propose strategic enhancements.
